Finger Lakes Wastewater Study produced design and installation guidelines for household wastewater treatment systems on limiting riparian sites to protect public health and water quality.

 

Irondequoit Creek Streambank Erosion Control in Powder Mill Park Project addressed the severity of erosion along the Creek and the resulting stream siltation.

 

Panorama Plaza Wetland Construction to Mitigate Stormwater Runoff Impacts to Irondequoit Creek. The project improved the water quality of stormwater runoff from the existing, largely impervious watershed before it enters Irondequoit Creek. This was done by diverting runoff into a constructed wetland which will treat the first-flush pollutants.

 

Silver Lake Watershed Erosion and Sediment Control Project involves streambank stabilization by utilizing grass waterways and rock lined channel. The project objectives include reduction of sediment and nutrient inputs into the Lake, reduce localized flooding, and protection of a municipal sewer line.

 

Kimball's Gully Sediment Trap. The overall goal of the project is to design and build a sediment trap, as well as make Kimball's Gully stream bed improvements to ensure the trap will work in an effective manner and be readily serviceable.

 

Ontario County Stream Bank Restoration and Stabilization Program is allowing for streambank restoration and stabilization projects on four streams in Ontario County. They are Kashong Creek, Canandaigua Outlet, Mill Creek and Mud Creek.

 

Town of Gaines Construction of Salt Storage Building was being constructed to reduce the runoff of road salt to area waterways.
